Online Submission
Instructions
By following these instructions and the prompts given on each screen, you will
be able to submit your manuscript electronically to 'Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism'.
The submission website has been designed to allow you to upload your manuscript
text and figure files in several formats. The server will generate a PDF file
to be used for review by the Editorial Board and external reviewers.
Please choose one of the following article types for your paper:

Editorials |

Before proceeding, we encourage you to read the
Guidelines for Authors for specific directions on how to prepare your
manuscript.
Please note:
Do not send hard copies by post or express mail if you submit
online. The review of your manuscript will be carried out electronically. You
will see a confirmation screen when your files have been successfully received
by our server. This screen gives you a temporary 'Transaction Number'.
After submission, the data and files will be reviewed by the editorial office
and you will then receive an acknowledgement by e-mail with a
manuscript-tracking number. Your personal information (including
Logon Name and Password) will not be updated until then.

Video Files enhance the online version of
'Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism', they are supplements which improve the reader's
understanding of the paper. In the printed version, which remains the journals
archival version, they should be replaced by a 'typical' figure.
Video files should be supplied in MPEG, AVI or QuickTime formats. When preparing
them, please keep in mind that they should be kept to a reasonable size. Files
larger than 3 to 4 megabytes will take considerable time for most site visitors
to download and, hence, may be a cause of frustration. Therefore, except in
unusual circumstances, files larger than 5 megabytes will be deemed too large
for posting.
By clicking on the button below you will be directed to the online submission
website where you will be guided through several screens. The first creates
your user ID and password, which will be saved and accessible to you for future
submissions.
On the second screen, you enter all general information for your submission
(Title, Author List, Abstract, etc.). You will then see a series of upload
screens for your files.
For legal reasons, we must receive your
Copyright Transfer Form with your orginal (hand-written)
signature. Please download, print, sign and either fax or scan it to make it
legally binding.
The final screen is the confirmation screen with your temporary 'Transaction
Number'.
You may cancel your submission at any stage during the process by clicking the
'Cancel Submission' button. Please do not use the 'Back' button on your
browser: You will be able to go back from the final screen and add any files
you may have overlooked before.
